Jo-Anne Surridge offers a range of all inclusive 3 to 5 day workshops from her beautifully restored Maison de Campagne in the Lot-et-Garonne, South West France.
With a BA Honours Degree in the History of Art and Design Jo-Anne is a Member of The UK Institute of Conservation. She also has a long association with the Camberwell College of Arts.
She is the founder of Winton Fine Art, worked for over fifteen years within the Public
Sector as the Principal Paper Conservator for the Hampshire County Museums and Library
Service before opening her own Studio.
Jo and her husband Brian offer courses in Painting (watercolours, pastels and acrylic)
her Creative Art classes will bring out the child in you, creating Art and Sculptures
from various media including Clay and Papier Mâché.
For the more practically minded try our courses in Gilding and Paint effects or furniture
restoration. She also offers an introduction to Conservation for those of you thinking
about a career in the arts world or who are merely dabbling . For the more esoteric
why not enroll on one of her Creative Writing courses.
The courses run from April to October , and from 2014 will include Christmas workshops and paper conservation courses in January and February.
Ian Jackson offers a range of Residential Photography Workshops, from beginners onwards,
giving practical skills in the use of digital cameras and a competent grounding in
the use of Photoshop.
He is a practicing professional commercial and advertising photographer, and has
taught City and Guilds 9231 Certificate in Photography, and City and Guilds 7470
General Photographic Practice and BTEC Photography courses.
He specialises in the Leisure and retail industries and has worked for most of the
UK’s hotel, restaurant and bar chains and now lives and works in the Lot-et-Garonne.
With his wife Fen, (short for Fenella, before you ask!) They offer fully residential,
hands on Photography Workshops at their renovated farmhouse just 10 miles south east
of the medieval town of Duras.
The workshops are offered at three levels: firstly a 3 day weekend workshop, secondly a leisurely week long break, with 3 days tuition, and the use of their accommodation for the rest of the week, and finally a full six day photography workshop offering a grounding in techniques including Photoshop, mains studio lighting, food and product photography, light painting and low light photography as well as visiting some of the many Bastide towns in the area.
